This private investigator guy on this "Not Cancer" episode of House (with Felicia Day, hurray!) -- he's pretty cute too.
This vacation has FLOWN by. I am actually a little happy to get back to the regular routine of work; I slacked off a ton during the vacation. I didn't work out (maybe once?), I ate WAY too much, drank a lot, and slept even less than I usually do. But it was a ton of fun, I was very social, and overall it was a blast!
The majority of the week I've spent hanging out with Supriya. She's really cool, and I'll admit, I like her a little (how lame does that sound, haha?). That said, she has made it perfectly clear that she doesn't want a relationship, as she just got out of a year+ one with her best friend. So I'll need to get over any romantic interest and focus on being friends... which honestly, should be pretty good, because she is a HUGE social butterfly and knows a ton of people who love to have fun. So hopefully I can meet more of these people too!
Spending time with her also made me realize how solitary I really am. I don't really know any of the restaurants or bars around campus. Whenever I go out I go alone, because my friends here are all under 21. I spend a lot of time inside playing games or watching TV or being online. Going out has been a lot of fun with her, but it also makes me realize just how much I am disconnected from the college lifestyle... or maybe I've just moved on? I loved how social I was in freshman and junior years, and this last week has been more like senior year (social, but focusing mostly with a couple of people at a time). My day-to-day life, while not as severe, is a lot like my sophomore year, where I met hardly anyone and went hardly anywhere. I'm not sure how to bridge that gap besides getting into classes and meeting more people.
Which brings up the issue, I still didn't take the time to look up classes. ARGH! On the somewhat plus side, while helping Supriya study for her GRE (which she passed on the 31st, AWESOME!!), I kinda started to study for it myself. I don't think I'd have a huge issue with taking it, so maybe I should get on that.
But yeah, so I've sorta failed at figuring out my future in the past 10 days or so. Ah well...
Also, things with Katie have gotten worse. She hasn't been too happy with me being distant while I was hanging out with Supriya. I personally have gotten tired with being treated like I should only be friends with her and no one else. Unfortunately, I don't like to make her feel bad, so it really sucks.
As for vacation, it has been ups and downs to some extent. My birthday weekend was AMAZING; Christmas wasn't bad but was kinda meh (spent the day at Katie's, which was fun, until she took me aside and told me that I had in fact been ignoring her and making her feel horrible), and New Years was REALLY bad at first. I wanted to spend it in Gainesville, but Katie convinced me to come down to Ocala because she didn't want to be alone for it. She told me about her boy issues; she loves me, Jorge, and Jacob, and didn't want to hurt any of us. Personally? I think she wants all three of us and doesn't want to face the fact that you can only have ONE boyfriend, and the other two will be bitter. So she cried a lot, which wasn't fun. The entire night was very meh. Even her parents went out to a bar and had a blast (I played DD and picked them up after the ball dropped, haha). So I drove back to Gainesville after, and around 2:00 Supriya called, totally trashed, and asked me to pick her and her friends up. Her and 5 other friends, it turned out; my car was like a clown car! I was pretty jealous; it seemed like they had a blast. But truthfully, it was a good ending to an otherwise crappy New Years.
Yesterday was the last Gators game; watched most of it at home with Ryan. Ended up drinking a lot; finished my bottle of vodka, haha. It gave me the night of the strangest and most vivid dreams ever; I dreamed like I woke up in the middle of the night, crashed my car, walked home and passed out (for the record, no, I didn't). Also Melissa from work and my sister were in the dream as well. So strange.
So yeah, today is the second-to-last day before I go back to work. I own my car now, which is awesome. Tomorrow I go to Ocala and make thank you cards for everyone; yay? Still no idea about my future, but this vacation was a lot of fun. Guess I'll need to figure everything out later. Ciao!

I've been test-driving Google Chrome, their new browser, on my MacBook for a few weeks now to see if I like it. So let's talk about what I like and don't.
Pretty quick, it seems.

Omnibar - the combined address bar / search bar
Automatic suggestions based on history, Google search
Search by keyword (from Omnibar). e.g. I set up a search for Wikipedia with the keyword wiki and then I just type in "wp Livejournal" to pull up LJ's wiki entry.

Automatic installation of new searches. e.g. I search for an article on DealsPlus and it adds a new keyword search on "dealspl.us"
Support for Flash and Java out of the box
Will import bookmarks from old browser
Highlights the domain name of the URL in the address bar
No keyword shortcuts for bookmarks. I could kludge it using the Search keywords but that's ugh.
Very low-level bookmark manager. Not a major issue since I have very few bookmarks. I've been compensating by typing in partial URLs and scanning the suggestions.
Reports errors with Gmail (although it seems to work fine). Srsly guys?
No support for Netflix streaming with Microsoft Silverlight
GUI isn't exactly Mac-like
Still buggy maybe? I think it killed my Keychain the other day, I lost all my stored passwords and the bookmark keywords that got imported from Firefox
It's OK but I eagerly await more features. I like Firefox better from a usability standpoint, but it seems a bit sluggish in comparison. I might actually try out Safari, which I've never used on a regular basis, or one of the plethora of other browsers that
shannon left on here (e.g. Shiira) or a new one like Stainless. Suggestions?

The last few days have been AWESOME! Also, Avatar (in 3D) is the best looking movie I have ever seen, ever.
